The A380 is on time??
Well according to Airbus, they say they are”absolutely 100 per cent confident” A380 is on time and will have the first order delivered to Singapore Airlines this October. The production of this superjumbojet has been a huge embarrassment for the company and extremely expensive. The huge delay in the aircraft was due to the electrical design. After two years, Airbus has now said the glitches has been fixed.
Qantas will have it’s first A380 plane in August of 2008 and then have service to Los Angeles in the later part of 2008. Airbus is pretty confident that it will have a huge market in the Australian and Pacific airline world.
I’m not quite sure how the A380 is going to be welcomed to the airlines in the United States. At this point in the industry, I don’t see any of the US Airlines going for the HUGE A380 except maybe the cargo world of UPS and FedEx. The airline industry changes every second so who knows how it will turn out! It will be very interesting to sit back and watch.

I like the plane, like the design and the idea. But like most big great things (like concorde (sp) ) im not sure how long it may last. They may get lucky with the plane if they score orders from large airline companies like Virgin etc. But they dont seem to be controlling the project well atm.
