Fly With Me!!

Southwest Airlines has plans to offer European connections through Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) by 2010. They are going to start to offer a partnership with ATA Airlines to offer service to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean by 2009. "We promise to do that," Greg Kelly said. Once Southwest upgrades their computer systems shortly after to allow more code share partners, they will start offering European connections. Greg Kelly also said, Baltimore is "one of the best airports in our system, We're ready to grow."

Southwest also said they are looking into offering onboard wireless internet connectivity and have customers pay for it.

This looks like it may very well be an excellent strategic move for Southwest to go international. They already have a huge customer base in the US which could expand to international customers. Would you book with Southwest to go international on a codeshare partner like ATA?
