It has been a long couple of days. On Monday was my last day of the 3 day trip. It was an easy day that started at 3.30 p.m. and ended around midnight. When I checked in at the airport, I had a message from scheduling. I knew it couldn’t be good. I was Jr Manned for Tuesday (explanation will follow below). Oh No! I was suppose to have Tuesday and Wednesday off, but now I only have today off before I go back to work tomorrow. Overall, the flying was really good except some storms building around Charlotte that you have to dodge, but nothing developed right over the field to shut down the airport.
Here is the schedule for both days. A list of airport codes is coming within the next couple of days. Stay tuned!

Now let’s talk about my Jr Man day. A Jr Man is where the company can make you work on your day off. Per our union contract, the company can only make you do this 4 times a year. Each airline is different depending on the contract negotiations between the pilot’s union and management. With the shortages of pilots, everyone airline is having staffing problems. Jr Man’s might be a good thing for the company, but they are not fun when you have plans on your day off, and then they are ruined because you have to work. Per our contract and a benefit, the company must pay us four extra hours for the day when Jr Manning a pilot.
