A very early morning and long day to start back to work after a couple days off. Today, I started a two day trip that ends tomorrow. After tomorrow, I have 4 days of reserve. Being on reserve is comparable to being on call. I have to be an 1 hour and 15 min from the airport, and I am assigned an on call time which is usually 5 a.m. in the morning. With the shortages of pilots, who knows were I will be for the next 4 days after tomorrow. It will probably be 4 hectic days!
I had 6 flights today that started with me being at the airport at 4.30 a.m. The day ended around 4 p.m. Overall, everything went real smooth today. We had didn’t have any delays for any of the flights which is how we all like it.
