SKYTRAX is a private British company that releases information from 14 million surveys filled out by more than 90 nationalities. Their survey results rank the world airlines and are carried out between August 2006 and June 2007 to bring you the World Airline Awards of 2007.
For the people in the United States, it is such a huge surprise that any US air carrier didn’t make any of these awards! Now congrats to Singapore Airlines for being the Airline of the Year! Let’s get on with the results now!
Airline of the Year: Singapore Airlines
Best Cabin Staff: Malaysia Airlines
Best Catering: Gulf Air
Best In-Flight-Entertainment: Emirates
Best Lounges (First Class): Thai Airways - BKK
Best Low-cost Airline: Jetstar Airways
Best First Class: Qatar Airways
Best Business Class: Singapore Airlines
Best Economy Class: Korean Air
Now it’s your turn to talk! What do you think of the results of World Airline Awards?

The fact that no American airways got awards doesn’t not surprise me… but cannot comment on the winners.
Yep it does not suprise me a US carrier got an award - but I love some of those airlines they are perfect!
Yeah… interesting results. Though I’d say I love airplane reliability better than airplane entertainment. Wouldn’t you agree?
I would totally agree OOM! I’d rather have the wing stay on than better inflight entertainment than another airlines.
Exactly!
