John, it looks like it’s loading better!
I see some cobweb on the second spot of commentators too.
Have a good week!

Hey, as you know I had my first airplane flight. Well, I guess I could really call it 2 because it left St. Louis, connected in Denver, and finaled in Los Angeles and I ended up flying on two planes.
One was small with four seats in each row…two seats on each side of the aisle. The second was a 767 and that one was smooth. The best part was when the planes took off…especially when they hit the throttle.
I count myself lucky because on both flights, I had some really nice people I sat beside. Company can make or break any experience. Who could ask for anything better than someone willing to point out the awesome landmarks and tell you some of their family stories about those places.
I will be heading home tomorrow with two more flights to experience. I can’t wait. I like flying and I didn’t get nervous at all. The only thing that would make me want to drive would be the horrible check-in process.
I know that Europe has been doing it this way for a decade or more, but they have been doing it a decade or more. They have the routine down to where it isn’t a big deal and they can avoid long lines.
I also didn’t like one area where one of the airport workers was practically screaming at everyone about how to have their stuff ready to go through the metal detectors and how you can only have a 3oz bottle of liquids/gels (sanitizer, hand moisturizer, etc) in a plastic bag.
I just thought it rude that his demeanor said that he was tired of having to tell us this information over and over. By the end, I wanted to force some Jack Daniels down his throat and put him out of his misery.
Other than that, I am ready to fly again.
Yep the blog is loading better today -hmmmm seems like I was first again lol.
Israel - what cobweb? or is that suppose to be a joke?
Hey Spaceman!
Sounds like your first two flights were wonderful! Now didn’t I tell you that you had nothing to worry about! Let me know how your next two go!
I know what you have to go through for checkin/security. I don’t quite understand the whole yelling at everyone to get the point across. TSA needs to relax. It would make the passenger experience so much more wonderful!
It was supposed to be a joke about me at the second place on the top commentators — nothing wrong with the website John!
He he well im stuck on first I mean look at the cobwebs around me
Well, the second batch of flights was ok. They were both 757s and pretty boring, actually. One thing that was different was that in LAX, a woman was notifying people of stuff like the guy in STL but she had a very sweet voice and she seemed calm and understanding. Just goes to show that demeanor matters.
One thing I didn’t like was that when we got to STL, our bags apparently hadn’t followed. They were left in Denver. What I don’t get is that we paid for the full fare and everything, but the people who were on standby didn’t have any baggage problems.
I feel that if anyone’s bags should have been left behind, it should have been a standby person. Maybe I am just jaded about this now, but it is bogus.
Otherwise, I am going to start saving some money for my next flight…lol.
Have you decided the winners yet??? - I know im not one of them but I just want to know lol.
Hey Spaceman! Glad your last flights went great! The 757 is a very nice airplane !
The bag issue is always a problem! I always advice people if you can just carry on your stuff, just do that instead of checking it in. Now with the restrictions of liquids, it can be a little harder with carrying that stuff on and you will have to check it. Next time, just carry on a suitcase if you can fit all your stuff in it!
We havea few problems with baggage in this country but hey it all sorts itself out eventually
So wheres Week in Review number 9 I gather I am number one again =]
And how won the t-shirts?
Pilot John is probably having a lot of fun somewhere!
