Fly With Me!!

Another two days and I had another two out and backs. On Monday, the trip was on my schedule for the month. Late morning start and ended in the early evening!

EWN - CLT (Deadhead)
CLT - HHH
HHH - CLT
CLT - EWN

(EWN - New Bern, NC; CLT - Charlotte, NC; HHH - Hilton Head, SC)

On Tuesday, I had a reserve day. Scheduling had some plans for me! I deadheaded to CLT then flew two legs and then deadheaded back home! Yesterday was a fun day! We had to maneuver around some storms on our way up to Huntington, WV. On the way back to Charlotte, the arrival we come in on was shut down due to storms right over it. We were coming in from the northwest and had to fly 50 miles to the southwest to join the another arrival. By the time we got about 10 miles away from Charlotte, they switched the runways around on us due to the winds from the approaching storms. It was a mess. We finally landed and it added about 40 minutes to our schedule for that flight.

Do you ever get bored doing the same routes?? Like bus drivers do?

Ross — I think I know the answer for this one — he sleeps in the cockpit when he gets bored! LOL

Sometimes it does get boring…but there is always something different to deal with each time you do it…weather..passengers……air traffic control…who knows!
