Fly With Me!!

It looks like Alaska Airlines is the newest airline to promise us Wifi internet on board all their flights! They are going to test a Wifi system from Row 44 on a 737 in the spring. If all goes well with their test, they will add Internet on all their planes! Reports have said Alaska has been working hard with Row 44 to make this a success.

As far as pricing, (all hope it is free Wifi), we do not know at this time. I personally am truly excited to start seeing airlines add this to their fleets! It is about time they start to give some entertainment options for passengers!

If adds Wifi on the Alaska flights, does any airplanes signals will get disturbed by Wifi connection? But it’s cool to have Wifi rather than do nothing and sleep on the plane for the long hours

That’s good news especially for frequent Alaska Airlines flyers. Businessmen can keep track of their businesses through the internet while teens can kill the long flight hours by surfing youtube or checking out their friendster or multiply sites. Hope the airlines test goes well.

its about time… that would be so nice, especially on those long international flights. i just worry that it might not work due to something that has to do with terrorists. i also can see them charging you for internet use… it is the airline companies after all…

Honestly it’s a HUGE selling point for airlines… I already have to pay hundreds for my ticket… having the ability to access work easily almost eliminates the “cost” of being away from my desk

Now if only the battery life of my computer was last longer than a couple of hours.

btw, am I the only one who thinks the guy on the tail of the plane looks like Bob Marley?!

This is absolutely great news. Alaskan Air will gain more flyers as a result. First to market wins some.

Eventually all the airlines will have it!

I was reading an article in USA Today this week on how hotels have been realizing the importance of wifi and they have been late to the game. Wifi is a way of life for lots of us…

I could spend endless hours online, and time seems to fly by when I’m working, or just online in general. So for me, I bet those flights would seem so much faster! :)

I would totally want to fly on an airline if they had free wifi. It cracks me up that airlines don’t, what are the geeks supposed to do?

Cool, then I finally have something to do on my flights. I hope also the other airlines will follow. I always get bored on long flights. Although lately I just play games and time flys too.

    Wow, thats awesome.

Its about time they started adding it. You would think there already would be wifi in most aircrafts.

I hope all of the major airlines do this…I’ll be flying a lot more if they do. ;o)

That would be awesome to have wifi on flights. I bet you money they charge for it though. Just like airlines charge to watch a movie.

Brilliant! I’ve got a few London - San Francisco flights coming up in the near future and would love to have WiFi. I hope BA adopts this and they don’t attach an exorbitant charge to it.
