Fly With Me!!

You could be using your cell phone next time you board your flight. Continental Airlines is running a 3 month test program to allow you to use your cell phone or your PDA to check-in and board your flight. This program just launched yesterday at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

Instead of using the normal paper boarding pass, Continental and TSA will now allow you to show a code the airline has sent to your phone or PDA. The two dimensional bar code on the phone displays squares and rectangles that stores the passengers name and flight information. You will still need to show your photo ID to TSA.

Continental is the first US airline that is trying this new boarding technique on your cell phone. Next time you fly Continental out of Houston, be a guinea pig and use your cell phone! Give it a try and see what the future will behold!

It’s amazing how many people are blogging about things that interests them these days, and making money while doing it. I never would have thought I’d find a blog for pilots that interested me, but here I am reading this post and thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks!
