    JP30 Info from JETporter.com

You’ll find all JETporter towbarless tugs are designed and manufactured with quality, reliability, and a trouble-free operation in mind. The JP75 is no exception. The JP75 was designed as our mid sized towbarless tug to meet customer demand. Tronair incorporated the best features of existing units along with the latest innovations to create what the JP75. With a small footprint and high, continuous duty, horsepower the JP75 is a powerfull tug in a small package.

    DRIVE TRAIN
Two 8 hp, continuous duty, DC motors are coupled directly to independent drive hubs eliminating many drive train parts. A digital logic controller is used to control the drive train. Utilizing the latest MOSFET technology, the controller handles the signal inputs from the control panel. This controller maintains the current limits, controlled acceleration and braking current and each unit is digitally programmed before it is shipped. An LED display on the console indicates hours of use, battery charge level as well as maintenance information.

The independent motor feature allows the JP75 to pivot around its front end, which provides superior maneuverability on the ramp and in hangars. The independent motors allow for increased traction and control on snow and ice.

The solid rubber, 18 x 8 x 12 1/8, traction tires mount directly to the hubs. The steering axle assembly rides on tapered roller bearings, as do the wheels.

The steering system uses a horizontally mounted steering wheel for ease of use and comfortable operation. The steering wheel is coupled to a ratio multiplier gearbox making steering smooth and effortless. A set of 4.00 x 8 industrial tires is used for steering.

    FRAME AND CONTROLS
The heavy gauge steel frame is formed and welded into a structural unit that creates the foundation of the JP75. All components, including bearings, motors, gears and electrical components are heavy-duty industrial quality.

The deck covers are made of lightweight high strength aluminum alloy with a rubberized coating and safety latch on each side. A DC motor and hydraulic pump operates the two cylinders that raise and lower the cradle. Up and down movement is controlled by a control switch located on the control panel or on the front fender. The lift cradle is designed to accommodate both dual and single nose wheels.

A hydraulic-ram winch system loads aircraft onto the JP75 lift cradle. Controls for the winch are located on the control panel and front fender. A mat safety switch on the cradle reduces tension. The JP75 utilizes a 10-micron filter because Tronair knows when it comes to hydraulic systems the better the filtration the longer the life of your equipment. An LED readout displays hours of operation, level of battery charge state and troubleshooting information.

    UNIT POWER
Sixteen deep-cycle six-volt commercial batteries power the JP75. Two banks of eight batteries connected in series and parallel to provide 48-volts. The second bank of batteries gives the JP75 a longer run time and more power, a feature our customers have come to expect. A fully automatic battery charger is supplied with each JP75 and operates on a variety of input voltages. Either single or three phase and 50 or 60 hertz chargers are available to meet your specific needs (indicate required frequency).

“We took a lot of time evaluating the different tugs that are available on the market and came away with the fact that the JETporter was superior to anything else out there. I want to personally thank you for producing such a great product and for also having the best customer service and support around. We would highly recommend your products to anyone looking for a first rate aircraft tug!”

    BRAKING
The JP75 incorporates three braking systems. Dynamic braking is the primary system and is activated when the operator reverses the direction of the joystick. The operator controls how much braking effort is required. A foot pedal operates the secondary disk brake system. An emergency/parking brake is automatically set anytime the operator leaves the platform or if electrical or hydraulic power is removed.
