The largest commercial airliner landed in Orlando, FL yesterday (November 13, 2007) at the Orlando International Airport. This is the first time the superjumbojet has touched down in the southeastern United States.
Orlando was extremely excited to see this new jet land and even Mickey Mouse was there to show his welcome. The arrival of the a380 in Orlando was part of Airbus’ world tour to support their new city in the sky even though they are two years behind schedule. It also shows that Orlando is one of the few airports in the United States that is able to handle the new era of superjumbojets.
The a380 is only at the Orlando International Airport until Thursday morning when it departs at 7 a.m. If you are around there, make sure you stop by and see it! I would like to see some of your photos. If you have any post it to flickr and put the address below. This might be the only time you will see the a380 in Orlando for a long time as none of the carriers that service Orlando are planning to order any of these a380s. Virgin Atlantic Airways is the best shot for Orlando to see an a380 but they aren’t supposed to be delivered to Virgin until 2013.
So what are you waiting for? Go see this magnificent city in the sky by Thursday!
Thanks for Lee Stringer for posting some pics on Flickr of the a380 in Orlando!

After having my iPhone for a couple months and getting sick of the rubber Incase case expanding and getting a bunch of dirt on the back of my iPhone, I decided it was time to switch cases. I did a lot of research in the forums of different cases and what ones people liked. I finally came to the decision and bought the Showcase by Contour Design.
After opening the packaging for the case, I knew this was going to be the case to have. The feel of protectiveness that it gives the iPhone is outstanding. I want a case that is going to protect my phone from the harshest conditions even though I treat my iPhone like it’s a baby and this case is going to do it! All the buttons are easily accessible and a small whole is on the back for the camera. The rubber on the sides of the case allow it to feel comfortable while using your phone. The design of the whole case is outstanding and one of the best features is the clear plastic on front and the back to show the sleekness of the iPhone.
Showcase by Contour Design Features
- Shock absorbing rubber combined with crystal clear plastic gives all around protection.
- All-encompassing dual layer protection fused with full accessibility for the screen, sensors, ports, and antenna.
- This hinged case offers the most versatility, securing your iPhone inside.
- The holster complements your iPhone, keeping it protected and where you need it.
- Crystal clear plastic shows off all of the iPhone’s style.
- The Showcase offers easy access to the headphone port and power button.
- The iPhone’s speakers and dock port are easily accessible.
- The holster carries the iPhone face in for full protection or face out for complete access.
If you are looking for a case for your iPhone, this is what you need! Order it off of the Contour Design site for only $34.95. It provides excellent protection along with style for the best phone out there! And no I am not getting any commission for sharing my new case with you! ![]()
Here is my Flickr Ablum of me unboxing my new case!

I do a lot of twitter tracking with my iPhone. I have a few words I have tracked. A couple are ijohnw, ijustine, and prius, and I had starbucks at once but I got so overloaded with messages. If anyone in the world writes a twitter message about these words, I get it sent right to my phone as a text message. I just got a twitter message about Prius drivers. It is from just_j. Here is what he says:
“What is wrong with PRIUS drivers? Lately this week they have been getting on my nerves. Learn to drive people!”
I do hope he realizes we are trying to set an example to save the earth! Now just_j settle down and be happy for us Prius drivers!
« go back — keep looking »
