How do Laversab's newer "-W" and "-NG" models differ from the earlier "-L" models?
Several differences exist between the original Laversab air data test set (now labeled "-L") and the newer "-W" and "-NG" units. The main difference is that the newer models are more affordable and modern for customers.
These new units have the added capability of being able to control the unit via Wi-Fi with an iPad or tablet. The "-W" and "-NG" units also have incorporated an additional transducer to monitor ground at all times, so you no longer have to use Functions 7 & 8, which was an issue with older models.
Designed to be much lighter than the older models, these newer units will be upgraded with even more innovations and new displays in the future.
