Sesame Technologies IPEX-45-127 – Engine Shield Install Pole - 45" to 127"

The Sesame Technologies IPEX-45-127 (S014019) is a three-section telescoping installation pole designed for safe, ground-level installation and removal of Diamond Engine Shield EX covers on business jet engines. With an adjustable length range of 45 to 127 inches, this pole is sized for light to midsize aircraft with lower engine mounting positions, including many Cessna Citation, Hawker, Learjet, and Embraer Phenom models.

The IPEX pole body is constructed from anodized aluminum, providing a lightweight yet rigid structure that is easy to handle during extended overhead reach. The locking head is machined from 316L stainless steel and features a spring-loaded pivot locking mechanism that creates a positive connection with the Diamond Engine Shield EX's bell mouth handle. Once engaged, the shield and pole will not separate until the operator deliberately disengages the locking head — eliminating the risk of accidental shield drops during installation or removal.

Each of the three telescoping sections locks in place with individual locking levers, allowing the operator to set the exact working length for the aircraft and engine position. The primary section features full ergonomic padding that provides a comfortable, non-slip grip and acts as a shock-absorbing safety layer. A rotating support pad on the base provides a stable contact point during vertical installation maneuvers.

The IPEX-45-127 is compatible with all Diamond Engine Shield EX variants — horizontal and vertical, intake and exhaust — and can also accept the optional IPEX Pitot Installation Adapter, which converts the pole into a quick-connect tool for installing and removing Executive Series GSE pitot probe covers from ground level.
