QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
How often should I calibrate the PRO 360 digital protractor?
Answer:

To maintain accurate measurements, the PRO 360 should be tested for accuracy daily using the “end-to-end” method. If any of the four readings differ by more than 0.1°, recalibration using the Superset® procedure is required. This is especially important after drops or when operating in environments with temperature shifts greater than 9°F (5°C) from the last calibration setting.

Asked June 27, 2025
Question:
What is the Superset® calibration method?
Answer:

Superset® is a built-in, eight-step electronic recalibration process that realigns the PRO 360 across its entire 360° range. It records four horizontal and four vertical positions, ensuring precision without special tools. The process takes only a few minutes and can be done onsite by following the step-by-step instructions in the owner’s manual.

Question:
What kind of battery does the PRO 360 use, and how long does it last?
Answer:

The PRO 360 runs on a 9-volt alkaline battery, which provides up to 500 hours of typical use. A lithium 9V battery can be used for extended life. The unit features an automatic shutoff after five minutes of inactivity and a low battery warning that flashes “LO bAt” when it’s time to replace it.

Asked June 27, 2025
Question:
Does the PRO 360 store measurements?
Answer:

While it doesn’t have permanent memory storage, the PRO 360 includes a HOLD feature that temporarily “freezes” the current reading. This is useful when measuring in hard-to-read positions or when recording values. Pressing the HOLD button again will release the display for continued measurements.

Asked June 27, 2025
Question:
Can I set a custom zero point on the PRO 360?
Answer:

Yes, the ALT ZERO function allows you to designate any angle as your reference 0.0° point. This is helpful when measuring relative angles from surfaces that aren’t perfectly level. Simply place the device on the reference surface, wait five seconds, and press ALT ZERO to activate the alternate mode

Asked June 27, 2025
Question:
What kind of maintenance does the PRO 360 require?
Answer:

Routine maintenance is minimal. Clean the unit with mild liquid soap and a damp cloth – never immerse it in water or use solvents. Perform the daily accuracy test before use, and recalibrate as needed. Proper storage and care will extend the unit’s service life.

Asked June 27, 2025
Question:
What warranty is offered on the PRO 360?
Answer:

The PRO 360 digital protractor includes a one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from misuse, tampering, water exposure, or improper maintenance. Warranty service requires proof of purchase and a brief explanation of the issue.
