RealClean Solo 1-Step is a single-step polish/paint correction compound that eliminates the need for multiple abrasives to revitalize and correct paint.

Solo's unique buffing and polishing compounds change size during the buffing process. Initially, the particles are larger which helps remove imperfections in the paint like oxidation (dead paint), scratches, and staining. As the buffing process continues the compounds get smaller until disappearing, providing the finest finish possible. Solo completely replaces the "old way" of correcting paint which was commonly referred to as the "down step process."

While effective in revitalizing paint, it was inefficient and required several separate buffing and polishing products, pads and steps to achieve what Solo Paint Correction Polish can do in one step.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
How does Solo 1-Step Polishing Compound differ from traditional polishing systems?
Answer:

Solo is a revolutionary one-step polish and paint correction compound designed to eliminate the need for multiple abrasive stages. Its micro-abrasive particles are larger at first to break through oxidation and scratches, then gradually shrink during application for a fine, lustrous finish. This technology makes Solo an efficient, time-saving alternative to the traditional “down-step” polishing process.

Asked August 11, 2025
Question:
Can Solo 1-Step compound be used with both hand and machine methods?
Answer:

Yes! Solo can be applied by hand using a foam applicator or with machine polishers such as rotary or dual-action tools. It works effectively on a 3’ x 3’ work area or smaller, allowing you to manage your workflow area-by-area. Always start gently with the tool and avoid overheating the paint for the best result.

Asked August 11, 2025
Question:
What types of surface imperfections can Solo effectively address?
Answer:

Solo is formulated to remove heavy oxidation, embedded dirt, micro-scratches, and light stains from aircraft exteriors. It restores dull or degraded paintwork to reveal a deep, high-gloss finish – all in a single step.

Asked August 11, 2025
Question:
Does Solo reduce dust compared to other polishing compounds?
Answer:

Yes, Solo generates approximately 70% less dust than traditional buffing powders. This results in cleaner work environments and faster post-polishing cleanup.

Asked August 11, 2025
Question:
Is Solo safe to use before applying a protective coating like ceramic or polymer?
Answer:

Absolutely! Because Solo contains no wax fillers, it leaves a clean surface without residues, making it safe for use prior to applying nano-ceramic coatings such as Sapphire V1 or reactive polymers.

Asked August 11, 2025
Question:
Can Solo be used on surfaces beyond aircraft paint?
Answer:

While Solo is crafted for aviation-grade aircraft exteriors, its paint-correction properties likely work well on automotive finishes and marine surfaces. As always, test on a small inconspicuous area to verify material compatibility before full-scale use.

Asked August 11, 2025
Question:
Is Solo compatible with modern detailing pads?
Answer:

Solo performs well with a variety of pads – including wool, blended wool, foam, cotton, and microfiber – when used with machine polishers. Choose a pad that balances enough cutting action without damaging the paint surface.
