We recently purchased Tronair jacks and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The sales team was very responsive to all of our inquiries and provided clear, timely communication throughout the process. Our order was processed quickly and the shipping was prompt. The jacks arrived on time—actually ahead of schedule—which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a smooth and efficient purchasing experience, and we would not hesitate to work with them again.

Very satisfied with our product purchase from CGSE. The communication during the process was great as they kept us up to date with the expected delivery date. Product was received and our customer was very happy with the quality of the product. They purchased a set of jacks for their new Embraer and they could not be happier.

This jack is amazing. It works like a charm. It's easy to use and maneuver around the hangar. It works great on our CRJ900 aircraft. The mechanics using it love it.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
What is the primary function of the Tronair 02A7845C0120 tripod jack?
Answer:

The Tronair 02A7845C0120 is a 10-ton, three-stage aircraft tripod jack designed to safely lift aircraft by the fuselage or main wing for inspection, maintenance, or repairs. It uses a combination of manual and pneumatic pumps to raise aircraft smoothly and securely. The jack must always be used in conjunction with the proper aircraft jack pads and lifting points specified by the aircraft manufacturer.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
How should the Tronair 02A7845C0120 be prepared before each use?
Answer:

Before each operation, inspect the jack for any visible damage, loose fittings, or leaks. Ensure hydraulic rams are fully retracted, verify that all nuts and bolts are tightened, and check that the hydraulic fluid level is within 1/2" of the reservoir vent. Refill as needed using MIL-PRF-5606 hydraulic fluid.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
What air supply requirements are needed for the jack’s air pump?
Answer:

The air pump requires a clean, dry air source with a supply pressure between 90 and 100 PSI (6.21 to 6.89 bar). Before connecting, ensure the shop air needle valve is closed, then open it gradually during operation. Overpressurization beyond 125 PSI should be avoided to maintain system integrity.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
How often should the Tronair 10-ton tripod jack be load-tested?
Answer:

Tronair recommends annual load testing of all tripod jacks to ensure safe operation. During testing, always jack against a load – not the jack itself – and do not exceed 105% to 110% of the rated capacity. Following Tronair’s function load test guidelines helps verify hydraulic integrity and mechanical stability.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
What maintenance practices should be followed for this tripod jack?
Answer:

Maintenance should be performed in a clean, debris-free workspace using proper tools and good workmanship practices. Regularly inspect O-rings, backup rings, and locknuts for wear or damage, and replace them as needed. Hydraulic surfaces should be treated with a rust-preventive oil that is compatible with Buna-N seals when the jack is not in use.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
How should the jack be stored when not in use?
Answer:

Store the jack with the ram fully retracted in a clean, dry environment between -4°F and 122°F (-20°C to 50°C). For outdoor conditions, cover the jack completely with a waterproof tarp or canvas. This prevents corrosion and contamination of hydraulic seals and metal components.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
How should the Tronair 02A7845C0120 be transported?
Answer:

The jack can be moved manually on its built-in casters or lifted with a crane using straps through the tripod’s top section. For shipping or relocation, it may also be handled with a forklift placed under the lower tripod support. Always secure the jack with appropriate strapping to prevent movement during transit.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
What is covered under Tronair’s product warranty?
Answer:

Tronair warrants its products against manufacturing and material defects for one year from the date of shipment, covering the repair or replacement of defective components. Replacement parts are covered by a 90-day warranty from the date of shipment. Normal wear items, or parts altered without authorization, are not covered under warranty.

Asked November 3, 2025
Question:
What safety precautions should be followed during operation?
Answer:

Always secure the load using the ram locknut before working under an aircraft, and never place hands near the ram threads during lowering. The jack should be used only on a hard, level surface, and all jacks supporting the aircraft must be raised and lowered simultaneously. Failure to follow proper safety procedures may result in injury or damage to equipment.
