This Tronair Hydraulic Power Unit (Series 5730 / 5731) uses Skydrol or Hyjet fluid with an output of 34 gallons per minute on 60Hz and 28 gallons per minute on 50Hz. Output pressure is from 250 to 3500 psi (max). Quick Disconnects are available as an option for each particular aircraft (if needed). The CE compliant version is also available (please specify in the comments).

- 70 gal (265 l) stainless steel reservoir with desiccant air filtration canister
- Large oil cooler with 3 phase electric fan (38,000 btu/hr cooling capacity)
- High efficiency, non-bypassing pressure filter with 2-micron absolute, Microglass III element (Beta rating > 200 based on ISO 4572)
- Large capacity return filter with 5 micron absolute, Microglass III element (Beta rating > 300 based on ISO 4572)
- Easy access fluid sampling valve (meets ANSI T2.24.1-1991)
- 2-48 gpm (8-180 lpm) dual scale flow meter
- Dual scale pressure gauge
- Standard 25 ft (7.62 m) pressure and return hoses
- Standard 50 ft (15.24 m) input power cord without input plug
- High Fluid temperature (>160° F) shut off switch with LED indicator light
- 30-240° F (0-115° C) dual scale pyrometer

This Hyd. power unit is very well built. It performed well in our hangar. It swung our 737 gear with ease. The dual system feature was great as well. All in all, no complaints.

Question:
What is the difference between the 5631 HPU and this upgraded 5731 HPU?
Answer:
The biggest difference is the GPM / PSI operating difference between the two units. The graphics below will help illustrate those differences. Also, the 5731 HPU will only operate on 3-phase high voltage - 480V 3-phase 60 Hz or 380V 3-phase 50 Hz.
