The Brackett BDW-ATHHD Heavy Duty Hydraulic Ground Handling Wheel Set is purpose-built for the Airbus AS-350 helicopter, providing enhanced lifting capability and rugged construction for demanding operations. As the heavy duty version of the standard BDW-ATH set, this system incorporates the same modular BDW-HUF-00 hydraulic frames with reinforced components to handle greater stress and heavier usage in high-frequency maintenance and ground support settings.
Each side of the system is equipped with a robust 6000 lb. bottle jack to ensure safe and controlled lifting. The BDW-ATHHD uses specially designed carriers for the Airbus AS-350 and features a quick-change carrier system that allows operators to switch to different aircraft by replacing only the carrier set. This reduces overall equipment costs while increasing towing efficiency across a mixed fleet.
