QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
The kit includes pitot adapters, static adapters, hoses, and seals required for connecting to Boeing 737 air data systems. It also comes in a protective transit case with custom foam inserts to keep each component organized and protected. Each adapter is clearly identified, making setup more intuitive for maintenance crews.
Air data accessories kits provide the critical interface between an aircraft’s pitot-static system and a pitot-static tester. Without the correct adapters, technicians risk inaccurate readings or damaging sensitive ports. By ensuring secure, leak-free connections, these kits support accurate calibration and compliance with aviation maintenance standards.
Yes, the ADA737-678 kit is compatible with a variety of industry-standard air data test sets. It is designed to work with units from multiple manufacturers, allowing operators flexibility in their testing setups. Always confirm compatibility with your specific test set to avoid mismatched fittings.
Each adapter is built from corrosion-resistant materials suitable for repeated use in demanding hangar and ramp environments. The transit case protects the kit against impacts and environmental wear, keeping seals and fittings intact. With proper care, operators can expect many years of reliable service.
The ADA737-678 enables accurate pitot-static testing, which is required under FAA and EASA maintenance regulations. By ensuring secure connections and leak-free operation, the kit helps technicians carry out tests in line with the aircraft’s maintenance manual. This ensures aircraft remain airworthy and compliant with inspection schedules.
Most technicians familiar with pitot-static testing will find the kit straightforward to use. However, Nav-Aids recommends that operators be trained in air data testing procedures to prevent damage to ports or adapters. Proper handling also ensures consistent, repeatable results during testing.
The ADA737-678 is supplied in a rugged, impact-resistant transit case designed to withstand the demands of shop and ramp environments. Inside, custom foam cutouts keep each adapter securely in place, preventing damage and making components easy to locate during setup. Compact and portable, the case ensures the kit is well-protected in storage and convenient to transport between maintenance sites.
Seals and hoses may degrade over time due to use or environmental conditions. Replacement parts are available directly from authorized Nav-Aids distributors like PJi. Keeping spare seals on hand ensures you can maintain a leak-free setup without extended downtime.
No, the ADA737-678 is specifically engineered for the 737NG series. Using it on other aircraft may result in a poor fit or inaccurate testing. For other models, Nav-Aids provides a full range of air data accessories kits designed for specific aircraft types.
The compact, lightweight case design makes it easy for technicians to transport the kit between hangars or airports. Its organized layout reduces setup time, and components are protected during transit. This portability supports MRO providers who service multiple aircraft in different locations.
The kit itself does not require calibration, since it functions as a connection interface rather than a measurement device. However, pitot-static testers connected through the kit must be calibrated according to the manufacturer's and regulatory guidelines. Regular inspection of seals and fittings is recommended to ensure accuracy.
Routine care involves cleaning adapters after each use and inspecting seals for wear. Adapters should be stored in the provided case to avoid damage or contamination. Following these simple practices helps extend the lifespan of the kit and ensures consistent testing performance.
With aircraft-specific fittings, the kit reduces setup time by eliminating the need for adjustments or improvised connections. The clear labeling and organized case layout also simplify workflows. This efficiency helps MROs and operators keep aircraft turnaround times as short as possible.
