The Sesame DES-EX-VI Diamond Engine Shield EX - Vertical Intake - Global 6500 / BR710D5-21 Pearl 15 – S037000 is a vertical intake engine protection shield engineered to safeguard jet engine nacelles from FOD, impact, and environmental exposure. Designed for aircraft that support vertical installation, this system enables safe, one-person deployment from ground level using the IP100-EX installation pole.

Crafted from advanced aerospace-grade materials including carbon fiber, high-temperature silicones, 316L stainless steel, and a rugged synthetic outer layer, the Diamond Engine Shield EX delivers unmatched performance and reliability. The self-centering, silicone-cushioned interface gently rests against the engine nacelle without requiring fasteners, reducing potential for wear and abrasion.

The glow-in-the-dark front bell mouth pad enhances targeting accuracy in low light and doubles as a protective contact buffer. The exclusive locking head mechanism ensures the shield remains attached to the installation pole until deliberate detachment, protecting against accidental release.

Installation Instructions

  1. Twist to lock the IP100-EX installation pole into the bell mouth handle of the shield.
  2. Hold the bell mouth and gently twist the pole to expand and open the shield into position.
  3. Move directly under the engine nacelle opening and place the base of the pole on the ground.
  4. Extend the telescoping pole sections until the shield is level with the engine opening.
  5. Align the high-temp silicone feet on either side of the nacelle and apply light pressure.
  6. Twist the pole to fasten the shield into place on the engine intake.
  7. To release, push slightly, twist, and pull back to disengage the pole from the locking head.
  8. To remove the shield, repeat the process in reverse: reconnect the pole, unlock, lower the shield, collapse and stow.

The S037000 provides precision-fit vertical engine inlet protection and enables fast, secure installation with minimal ground crew requirements.
