QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Testing this tachometer is easy. Point the unit at the palm of your hand and press the “ON” button. You should see light on your hand from the lens of the unit. If you don’t, replace the batteries and test again. Point the tachometer at a fluorescent light (the closer to the light the better). Press the “ON” button. The displayed reading should be 7200 RPM +/- 10 RPM.
Try replacing the batteries. As the batteries get weak, the reading will increase. The low-battery indicator (BAT) will display to indicate that the batteries require replacement.
