Order was easy online, payment as well.
Received parts quickly and in good condition.
Only issue was that it did not come with the required paperwork, except packing slip. After a quick call they sent us the Certificate of Conformance with no issue.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
What type of connection does the PC‑1006 use?
Answer:

The PC‑1006 features a 1/4" JIC flare fitting that mates directly with the Tronair 10089‑3 3/8‑24 UNF‑2B regulator outlet. It also includes a 1/4" BSSP fitting to attach to aircraft oxygen cylinder assemblies. Both connections are certified clean for oxygen service.

Asked July 17, 2025
Question:
Why is oxygen cleaning critical for this adapter?
Answer:

All internal surfaces are cleaned per SAE ARP 1176 standards to remove oil, grease, and particulate contamination. Proper oxygen cleaning ensures safe operation by preventing combustion or fire risk when flowing pure oxygen under high pressure.

Asked July 17, 2025
Question:
What is the maximum working pressure of the PC‑1006?
Answer:

The adapter is rated for up to 3,000 psi, covering the full pressure range used in aircraft oxygen servicing. This capability makes it suitable for both aircraft refill operations and ground system use.

Asked July 17, 2025
Question:
Is this adapter included in any maintenance kits?
Answer:

Yes, the PC‑1006 is part of Tronair's K‑2717 charging adapter kit, together with high-pressure O‑rings and dust caps. It can also be ordered separately for replacement or as a spare part.

Asked July 17, 2025
Question:
How does the PC‑1006 ensure a leak-free seal?
Answer:

Its 1/4" JIC flare fitting creates a metal-to-metal seal that resists vibration or misalignment. Proper torquing of the flare nut according to manufacturer specs ensures a tight, clean seal during oxygen charge operations.

Asked July 17, 2025
Question:
Does the adapter come with dust caps or protective covers?
Answer:

The standard kit includes protective dust caps for both the JIC and aircraft cylinder connections. Keeping caps in place when the adapter is unused prevents dust or moisture from contaminating oxygen pathways.

Asked July 17, 2025
Question:
Is a torque tool required for installation?
Answer:

Yes. The 1/4" JIC flare fitting must be tightened to the proper torque specified by aircraft or regulator documentation. Using an oxygen-compatible torque wrench prevents over-tightening, which could distort the flare and cause leaks.

Asked July 17, 2025
Question:
Can a worn adapter be serviced or repaired?
Answer:

O‑ring seals and dust caps can be replaced if worn or damaged. However, if the flare fitting shows signs of wear or deformation, the adapter should be replaced to maintain integrity and safety during oxygen operations.
