QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
No, this CCX antenna is compatible with any wireless system! This multi-band LTE antenna is designed to increase the efficiency of your aircraft's current onboard connection by establishing a safer and more secure access point.
The IK-201 Two Element Multi-Band LTE Aircraft Antenna is not designed for direct exterior exposure to weather or environmental elements. It should be installed inside the aircraft to protect the antenna components. However, it may be mounted behind a fiberglass panel, provided the panel shields the antenna from the elements and does not interfere with signal transmission. Proper installation helps maintain reliable LTE performance.
The IK-201 may be used in flight only on helicopters operating below 10,000 feet. It is not approved for use in fixed-wing aircraft during flight. Always verify operational limitations with the aircraft’s documentation before installation. Following these guidelines ensures safe and compliant antenna use.
The IK-201 should be mounted inside an aircraft window, but not on a cockpit window. For optimal LTE signal reception, avoid installing the antenna behind metal structures, as metal can block or significantly reduce signal strength. Positioning the antenna with a clear path to cellular networks improves connectivity performance. Proper mounting is essential for consistent multi-band LTE functionality.
