QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
The inflator is controlled through an intuitive touchscreen display, allowing operators to input and monitor tire pressure with precision. The interface supports customization and storage of test programs for different aircraft tires, reducing setup time and ensuring consistent results.
Yes, the NGtronic ATI supports an unlimited number of programmable test profiles. This flexibility makes it easy to manage different aircraft types within the same facility, improving efficiency in high-volume maintenance operations.
Absolutely! Two or more NGtronic inflators can be connected and centrally managed through a dedicated control unit or integrated into an existing MES system. This setup streamlines workflow across large MRO shops by consolidating data and control.
Yes. The unit can be fitted with an RFID scanner or barcode scanner, enabling fast tire identification and automatic program loading. This reduces human error while ensuring the correct inflation process is applied every time.
The ATI can be paired with a label printer to generate adhesive tire labels after inflation. Each label includes critical data such as part number, serial number, inflation pressure, and the date/time of servicing. Customized label formats are also available to meet operator or regulatory requirements.
The system can be equipped with a Remote Maintenance Module, enabling updates, troubleshooting, and software customization without removing the unit from service. This feature minimizes downtime and ensures the inflator remains current with evolving operational needs.
Yes. The NGtronic ATI uses an intentional overpressure method during inflation, raising the pressure slightly above the target value before bleeding down to the preset level. This process stabilizes the tire and helps prevent dangerous blowouts once the tire reaches operational pressure. A minor deviation of about 0.5% (approximately 500 PSI) is considered normal and within tolerance.
The ATI is engineered with multiple safety mechanisms to protect both technicians and equipment. These include automatic pressure control, overpressure safeguards, and precise valve connectors designed to prevent leaks. Together, these features ensure safe, reliable operation even at high inflation pressures.
The touchscreen-controlled system uses advanced sensors to monitor inflation pressure in real time. With proper calibration and periodic checks, the ATI maintains highly accurate readings that meet aviation safety standards. Consistent accuracy is critical for avoiding both underinflated and overinflated aircraft tires.
Yes! The unit is designed for inflating tires up to 348 PSI (24 bar), making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and military aircraft. Its high-quality hydraulic and electronic components are built to withstand demanding shop environments while maintaining operator safety.
The KUNZ NGtronic ATI is manufactured under ISO 9001 and AS9100D quality systems and is designed to meet strict aviation safety requirements. Operators can be confident that the inflator contributes to safe, compliant tire servicing in MRO and airline operations.
By automating the inflation process and incorporating overpressure safeguards, the NGtronic ATI reduces the need for technicians to remain in close proximity to high-pressure tires during servicing. This minimizes exposure to potential hazards while improving workflow efficiency.
