The Tronair 02A0526C0110 is a 5-Ton (10,000 lb) hydraulic aircraft tripod jack engineered to lift aircraft from the forward fuselage or main wing jacking points during maintenance, inspections, and ground operations. With a 26" (66.0 cm) closed height and 50" (127.0 cm) maximum extended height, it accommodates a range of aircraft fuselage and wing jacking point heights. The single-stage hydraulic design provides controlled lift and positive lock at any extension height. A factory-installed air pump allows rapid initial extension without additional equipment. CE-marked for compliance with European aviation safety standards. OEM-specified for Adam A500, A700. Also approved for Cessna 401, 402 and others.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
What advantages does the factory-installed air pump provide on the Tronair 02A0526C0110?
Answer:

The factory-installed air pump helps technicians achieve faster initial jack extension while reducing manual pumping effort during aircraft maintenance operations. This can improve efficiency during repetitive lifting tasks in busy hangar environments. The integrated pneumatic assist system also helps reduce operator fatigue when servicing multiple aircraft in a single shift. According to the Tronair operation and service manual, the air-assisted system is designed to work with standard compressed air supplies commonly found in maintenance facilities.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
Why is the 26” closed height beneficial for aircraft maintenance?
Answer:

The 26" closed height allows the aircraft tripod jack to fit beneath many low-wing aircraft and business aviation platforms with limited ground clearance. This helps maintenance crews position the jack more easily without excessive aircraft repositioning. Combined with a maximum lifting height of 50”, the jack offers a versatile working range for various fuselage and wing jacking points. This flexibility can be especially valuable for operators maintaining mixed aircraft fleets.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
How does the single-stage hydraulic design improve lifting performance?
Answer:

The single-stage hydraulic configuration provides smooth and controlled lifting while minimizing mechanical complexity. Fewer moving hydraulic stages can help simplify maintenance and reduce potential leak points over time. This design also supports positive load holding during maintenance procedures when properly engaged lock nuts are used. For aviation maintenance teams, dependable lifting consistency is critical during inspections and landing gear servicing.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
What safety benefits does the ram protection ring provide?
Answer:

The ram protection ring helps protect the mechanical extension system from improper locking pin placement and possible deformation during lifting operations. The Tronair manual emphasizes that proper installation of locking pins is critical for safe jack operation and aircraft stability. Proper use of the ram protection ring and locking pin assembly helps reduce the risk of premature equipment wear or unsafe lifting conditions. The manual also includes visual examples of correct and incorrect pin placement to support technician training.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
Why is the hold-to-run air valve important for operators?
Answer:

The hold-to-run air valve requires continuous operator engagement during pneumatic lifting operations, helping maintain better control over ram movement. If the operator releases the valve lever, the jack immediately stops extending upward. This feature helps reduce the likelihood of unintended aircraft movement during maintenance procedures. It also encourages active monitoring throughout the lifting process for improved hangar safety.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
How does the pressure relief valve help protect the jack?
Answer:

The built-in pressure relief valve helps prevent overloading during aircraft lifting operations by limiting hydraulic pressure within the system. This helps protect internal hydraulic components from excessive stress while supporting safer lifting practices. The Tronair manual notes that the relief valve is preset and should not be disassembled or modified. Maintaining proper pressure control is important for preserving long-term jack reliability and operational safety.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
What maintenance practices help extend the service life of the 02A0526C0110?
Answer:

Routine fluid checks, annual load testing, caster lubrication, and proper storage procedures all help maximize aircraft jack performance and longevity. Tronair recommends checking hydraulic fluid levels before each use and conducting annual capacity testing at 105% to 110% of rated load. The manual also advises storing the jack with the ram fully lowered and protecting it from moisture when stored outdoors. Following these maintenance procedures can help reduce downtime and improve operational reliability.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
Why is OEM approval important for aircraft tripod jacks?
Answer:

OEM approval indicates that the aircraft manufacturer has evaluated the jack for compatibility with specific aircraft models and approved its use in accordance with established maintenance procedures. This can help maintenance organizations maintain compliance with manufacturer-recommended ground support practices. Using OEM-approved aircraft jacks may also help simplify maintenance planning and reduce uncertainty regarding lifting compatibility. For operators servicing aircraft like the Adam A500, Learjet series, or Cessna twins, approved equipment helps support safer maintenance operations.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
How does the heavy-duty tripod structure improve stability?
Answer:

The wide tripod base design helps evenly distribute lifting loads during aircraft maintenance operations. Improved load distribution can enhance jack stability when lifting aircraft from fuselage or wing jacking points. Heavy-duty tripod construction is especially important when working on uneven hangar surfaces or during extended maintenance procedures. Combined with proper leveling procedures, the tripod configuration helps support safer aircraft lifting practices.

Asked May 14, 2026
Question:
What makes the Tronair 02A0526C0110 suitable for long-term fleet support?
Answer:

The Tronair 02A0526C0110 is designed with durable hydraulic components, replaceable service parts, and accessible maintenance features that support long-term operational use. The operation manual includes detailed troubleshooting, spare parts, seal kits, and maintenance procedures to help simplify ongoing service requirements. Tronair also recommends using OEM replacement parts to maintain certified performance and safety standards. For fleet maintenance operations, this level of service support can help reduce downtime and improve the lifecycle value of equipment.
