Start Pac 6028QC – 28V DC Portable Starting Unit with Lead-Acid Battery
Need a Quote?
The Start Pac 6028QC is a 28.5V DC portable starting unit that's capable of starting the largest electrically started turbine or piston engines, including the Garrett TPE331.
The unit has a separate, removable lead-acid battery that can be changed in less than a minute. This feature allows the user to change batteries in the field without needing to send the Start Pac unit back to the shop or manufacturer.
This Start Pac unit will provide a faster and cooler start than most ships' aircraft batteries, thus increasing turbine life. This pack can perform various maintenance duties that require more than 24 volts for checkout. It has dual redundant chargers, each delivering 7 amps and requiring approximately 4 hours to recharge.
Certain aircraft will allow the ship's generator to back-charge a GPU. In this manner, the Start Pac unit can be recharged in the field without an AC source indefinitely.
NOTE: This unit is designed for engine starting only. It is not to be used as an aircraft battery charger.
