The Tronair 02-0222C0111 is a 2-Ton (4,000 lb) hydraulic aircraft tripod jack engineered to lift aircraft from the forward fuselage or main wing jacking points during maintenance, inspections, and ground operations. With a 23" (58.4 cm) closed height and 46" (116.8 cm) maximum extended height, it accommodates a range of aircraft fuselage and wing jacking point heights. The single-stage hydraulic design provides controlled lift and positive lock at any extension height. CE-marked for compliance with European aviation safety standards. Safety Features
- Ram Lock Nut: Prevents the lowering of the ram. The ram lock nut must be lowered as the aircraft is being lifted. Ram lock nuts must be kept within 2" of the stop while raising the aircraft.
- Lock Nut Retention Ring: Prevents the lock nut from being unscrewed from the second stage.
- Pressure Relief Valve: Prevents overload during raising operations.

The jack is designed to use MIL-PRF-5606 hydraulic fluid, a standard aviation-grade fluid that ensures reliable performance. Operators should routinely check the reservoir and maintain fluid within 1/8 inch of the fill line. Proper fluid levels help prevent spongy operation and ensure smooth, consistent lifting.
This 2-ton tripod jack includes safety locking mechanisms on both the ram and the legs to prevent accidental collapse. A ram locking pin secures the jack once the aircraft is lifted. The telescoping leg design also ensures stable adjustment and prevents unsafe extension beyond the last locking hole.
For safe operation, the jack must be placed on a hard, level surface to ensure stability during lifting. The mechanical leg extensions should be equally adjusted so that the jack pad is positioned as close to the aircraft’s jack point as possible. Unequal leg extension is prohibited, as this may compromise stability and increase the risk of collapse.
To lower the aircraft, the jack ram locking pin must first be retracted, which may be easier if the ram is slightly raised. The pump release valve should then be opened gradually, allowing the aircraft to descend in a slow, controlled manner. It is critical to lower jacks simultaneously on multi-jack setups to keep the aircraft level and stable.
Routine maintenance is minimal but essential. Operators should check reservoir fluid levels, bleed air from the cylinder if operation feels spongy, and conduct load tests at regular intervals. Tronair also recommends 90-day inspections and a 12-month load test to maintain reliability and compliance.
Tronair provides a one-year warranty against manufacturing or material defects, with replacement parts covered under a 90-day warranty. The warranty does not cover normal maintenance items, misuse, or unauthorized modifications. To maintain coverage, operators should always use OEM replacement parts and follow the service guidelines outlined in the manual.
Operators should always raise and lower jacks simultaneously to keep the aircraft level, and use tail or nose stands when applicable for extra stability. Hands must never be placed between the aircraft and the jack pad, and jacks should not be aligned under the aircraft by striking the legs. Following these procedures prevents damage and protects ground crews from injury.
At just 70 lbs (31.8 kg), this tripod jack is quite manageable for ground crews to transport. Heavy-duty 4” wheels are built into the frame to allow easy positioning around the hangar or ramp. This mobility is especially useful for operations that require frequent relocation of support equipment.
