Super fast order and expedite international shipment by Pilot John. Ordered 4 of these jacks and received them overseas after just one week. The jacks are used for the lifting of heavy motion flight simulators. All jacks received with certification and have been used within minutes of receiving them. Thank you very much for your service. We will definitely purchase from Pilot John again in the future.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
What aircraft applications is the Tronair 02-1240C0111 tripod jack designed for?
Answer:

The Tronair 02-1240C0111 is engineered to lift aircraft by the fuselage or main wing when used in coordinated jacking configurations, ensuring proper balance and stability. It is specifically configured for certain Dassault Falcon aircraft, but must always be used in accordance with the aircraft manufacturer’s jacking procedures. The jack is not intended for metal forming or non-aviation lifting tasks. Proper aircraft-specific jack pads and positioning are critical to safe operation.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
What safety features are built into the 02-1240C0111 tripod jack?
Answer:

This hydraulic tripod jack includes a user-operated ram locknut that mechanically secures the load once the aircraft is raised. It also features a pressure relief valve to prevent overload during lifting operations. Warning labels and clear operating instructions are integrated into the unit to support technician awareness. These layered safeguards are designed to reduce the risk of accidental lowering or hydraulic overload.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
Why is proper use of the ram locknut critical during aircraft lifting?
Answer:

The ram locknut is a primary mechanical safety device and must be lowered as the aircraft is being raised. Failure to properly engage the locknut can result in serious injury or equipment damage. The manual emphasizes that personnel must never work under a raised load unless it is secured by suitable means, such as the engaged locknut. This redundancy ensures the aircraft remains supported even if hydraulic pressure is lost.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
What are the environmental and operating limitations for this hydraulic tripod jack?
Answer:

The jack is intended for use on a clean, level surface within an operating temperature range of -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F). Maintaining proper environmental conditions helps preserve hydraulic integrity and structural stability. The unit is considered non-polluting when operated with the recommended hydraulic fluid. Storage guidelines also recommend keeping the ram fully retracted when not in use.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
What hydraulic fluid is required for servicing the 02-1240C0111?
Answer:

The jack requires MIL-PRF-5606 hydraulic fluid for proper operation and maintenance. Fluid levels should be checked before each use and maintained approximately 1.5" below the reservoir vent cap. Using the specified fluid ensures compatibility with internal seals and components. Substituting other fluids could lead to premature seal degradation or hydraulic failure.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
What routine maintenance is recommended for this aircraft tripod jack?
Answer:

Routine maintenance includes checking fluid levels before each use, lubricating casters every 3 months, and performing an annual capacity test at 105% to 110% of rated capacity. Annual cleaning and inspection are also recommended. If the jack is unused for 90 days, corrosion-prevention measures should be applied to the ram. These preventive steps help extend service life and maintain lifting accuracy.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
Are load tests required for the Tronair 02-1240C0111?
Answer:

Yes. The manual recommends annual load testing at up to 110% of rated capacity to verify performance and safety . Testing must always be conducted against a controlled load, not against the jack itself. Observing proper test protocols confirms that hydraulic components and structural elements remain within certified operating limits. Regular testing supports compliance with aviation maintenance standards.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
What qualifications are required to operate or service this tripod jack?
Answer:

The jack is intended for use by skilled, trained aircraft technicians familiar with both hydraulic systems and aircraft jacking procedures. Installation, maintenance, and dismantling must also be performed by qualified personnel. Employers are responsible for providing appropriate training programs. Proper operator qualification reduces risk during critical lifting operations.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
Can the 02-1240C0111 be modified or repaired with non-OEM parts?
Answer:

No. The manual clearly states that modifications without written approval from Tronair void all warranties and release the manufacturer from liability. Only Tronair OEM replacement parts are authorized for use. Using non-approved components can compromise structural integrity and safety. Adhering to OEM guidelines ensures continued compliance and warranty protection.

Asked February 16, 2026
Question:
What warranty coverage applies to the Tronair 02-1240C0111 tripod jack?
Answer:

Tronair warrants that the jack is free of manufacturing or material defects for one year from the date of shipment to the original customer. Warranty coverage is limited to repair or replacement of defective components and does not include normal maintenance items. Replacement parts carry a 90-day warranty from the date of shipment. Unauthorized modification or misuse immediately voids warranty coverage.
