The Tronair 03A5822C0000 Tail Stand with Alarm is engineered to support an aircraft by its rear fuselage during maintenance, provided the load does not exceed the unit’s rated capacity. Built with a rugged, welded steel tripod structure, this tail stand provides a stable and secure platform, ensuring safety during servicing.

For added protection, the stand features an integrated alarm system that activates when a force of 100 to 150 lbs (45.4 to 68 kg) is applied to the cradle. The alarm sounds an 85 dB pulsating signal until the force is reduced, alerting operators and helping prevent potential damage or improper use. Dual casters make the stand easy to position, while quick-action mechanical extension and a variety of available adapters enhance its versatility in different aircraft maintenance applications.

This tail stand is incredible. We are using it on a Dassault Falcon 900 for its C-Check. It is sturdy and easy to use, and boy does it hold that plane up! It came just in time, too. Our arms were getting tired of holding it up ourselves!

Tail stand is working well for our operation. The electronic alert is a nice feature as well. CGSE was excellent to work with on the purchase of our equipment. This was not our first purchase with them and we will look forward to working with them in the future.

Shipping was well done. CGSE worked with us on delivery prices and even changing delivery date to meet our needs. They kept us up to date on manufacturing status. We are utilizing the jacks for a Falcon 900. They also supported us with options and purchasing other equipment with better support than other vendors.

Question:
How is the alarm system on the Tronair 03A5822C0000 tested?
Answer:

The alarm system can be tested by depressing the plunger switch for at least two seconds, which should trigger the loud pulsating alarm. A load test can also be performed by applying 100 to 150 pounds of force to the cradle, simulating real-use conditions. The unit features a low-battery warning, which emits a chirp every 20 to 30 seconds when replacement is required.

Asked October 1, 2025
Question:
What maintenance is required for the Tronair 03A5822C0000 tail stand?
Answer:

The tail stand should be inspected every 90 days for defects in welds, pins, and tubing. Annual cleaning is recommended, using a soft cloth rather than pressure washing to avoid damage. The alarm unit itself should be cleaned with compressed air or a vacuum around its perimeter openings. The alarm surface can then be wiped with a damp cloth.

Asked October 1, 2025
Question:
How is the Tronair 03A5822C0000 transported?
Answer:

The tail stand can be transported using its dual casters for manual rolling or lifted by crane using straps through the tripod top. It may also be moved with a forklift positioned under the lower tripod support. The unit weighs approximately 94 lbs (42.6 kg), making it manageable for a range of handling options.

Asked October 1, 2025
Question:
How does the alarm system enhance safety during aircraft maintenance?
Answer:

The alarm system is triggered when 100 to 150 pounds of force are applied to the cradle, alerting operators to excessive load conditions. This helps prevent overstressing the tail stand and ensures that technicians are aware of unsafe situations in real time. The loud 85 dB pulsating alarm continues until the force is reduced, reinforcing safety throughout the operation.
