QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
How does the dual-cylinder design benefit operators?
Answer:

The jack includes a three-stage cylinder rated at 12 tons and a two-stage cylinder rated at 25 tons. This dual-capacity design allows technicians to use the same unit for different lifting requirements, providing versatility and reducing the need for multiple jacks in the hangar.

Asked September 16, 2025
Question:
Which hydraulic fluid does this jack use?
Answer:

The Tronair 02-7854C0110 is designed to operate with MIL-PRF-5606 hydraulic fluid, a standard fluid widely used in aviation ground support equipment. Using the correct fluid ensures smooth operation, proper sealing, and long-term reliability.

Asked September 16, 2025
Question:
What safety features are included with this axle jack?
Answer:

Safety is built in with threaded rams, an improved hand-wheel style safety nut, and a built-in pressure relief valve. These features help prevent overloading, accidental lowering, and structural damage. Operators are also instructed never to place hands between the aircraft and the jack pad, reinforcing safe practices.

Asked September 16, 2025
Question:
How is the jack operated during lifting?
Answer:

The unit uses a two-speed, manually operated hydraulic pump. Operators connect the pump hose to the appropriate ram, open the reservoir vent screw, and then close the release valve before pumping. This setup provides precise control while maintaining safety throughout the lifting process.

Asked September 16, 2025
Question:
What maintenance is required for this axle jack?
Answer:

Preventative maintenance, including fluid checks, seal inspections, and component cleaning, is recommended every 90 days. In addition, an annual load test at 110% of rated capacity is required to ensure continued safe performance.

Asked September 16, 2025
Question:
Does this jack carry a CE mark?
Answer:

Yes, the 02-7854C0110 is CE-marked, meaning it complies with European safety and machinery standards. This certification provides assurance for operators working under EU regulations or in facilities that require CE-compliant equipment.

Asked September 16, 2025
Question:
What warranty coverage does Tronair provide for this axle jack?
Answer:

The jack is covered by a one-year warranty against manufacturing or material defects, beginning from the shipment date to the original customer. Replacement parts carry a 90-day warranty, and misuse or unauthorized modifications will void coverage.

Asked September 16, 2025
Question:
What precautions should operators follow before use?
Answer:

Before each use, operators should check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness, confirm hydraulic fluid levels, and ensure the reservoir vent screw is open. A general visual inspection for leaks or damage should also be performed to ensure safe operation.
