Worked great, very compact! Because it's in a hard case it's very easy to put on an airplane for AOG and storing. I would defiantly recommend this jack.

The jack is very small and nice. The hydraulic pump seems very cheap and light. Have a hard time believing it will last. Don't like the awkward hose. Wish it had a quick disconnect.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
What aircraft is the Tronair 02-7852C0100 axle jack designed for?
Answer:

The Tronair 02-7852C0100 is a 12-ton hydraulic axle jack specifically intended for use on JPATS aircraft – the Beechcraft T-6A Texan II, a military trainer that is a modification of the Pilatus PC-9. This aircraft-specific design ensures that the jack's dimensions, load profile, and height range are compatible with the T-6A's landing gear geometry and maintenance requirements. As with all Tronair axle jacks, operators should always verify compatibility with the aircraft's maintenance manual before performing any jacking operation, and the jack should not be used on aircraft outside its intended application.

Question:
What is the weight capacity of the Tronair 02-7852C0100?
Answer:

The Tronair 02-7852C0100 has a vertical lifting capacity of 24,000 lbs (10.9 metric tons), equivalent to 12 tons. This rating represents the maximum safe working load, and operators must never exceed this capacity during any lifting or maintenance operation. For annual load testing, the test load must equal the jack's rated capacity plus 10% – this is the maximum permissible test load – and the jack must always be tested against a load rather than against the jack itself.

Question:
What are the height and extension specifications of the 02-7852C0100?
Answer:

The Tronair 02-7852C0100 has a minimum closed height of 3" (7.6 cm) and a fully extended height of 8-5/16” (21.1 cm), achieved through a four-stage hydraulic ram with 5-5/16” (13.5 cm) of hydraulic extension. Unlike some other models in the Tronair axle jack lineup, the 02-7852C0100 does not include a mechanical extension – height adjustment beyond the base hydraulic lift is achieved using the included 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) spacer block. This compact closed height makes it particularly well-suited for use in tight clearance environments common on military trainer aircraft landing gear.

Question:
What hydraulic fluid is required for the Tronair 02-7852C0100?
Answer:

The Tronair 02-7852C0100 aircraft axle jack operates exclusively with standard MIL-PRF-5606 hydraulic fluid. Before each use, technicians should confirm that the hydraulic pump reservoir is filled with fluid and that the rams are completely collapsed. During routine maintenance, all old hydraulic fluid and accumulated dirt should be completely flushed from the system and replaced with fresh, clean MIL-PRF-5606 fluid to protect internal components and maintain reliable jack performance.

Question:
What is included with the Tronair 02-7852C0100?
Answer:

The Tronair 02-7852C0100 comes complete with a 1.5" (3.8 cm) base spacer block (Z-3827) and a transport carrying case (H-4156) for secure storage and field portability. The included spacer block allows technicians to increase both the closed and extended heights of the axle jack, enabling the ram to reach the aircraft jack pad from a safe, level position. The carrying case protects the jack during transportation and storage, making the 02-7852C0100 well-suited for deployment at forward maintenance locations or remote airfields.

Asked May 4, 2026
Question:
What is the purpose of the spacer block included with the 02-7852C0100?
Answer:

The 1.5" (3.8 cm) spacer block included with the 02-7852C0100 is used to increase the jack's base height, bringing the four-stage ram as close as possible to the aircraft's jack pad before the hydraulic pump is operated. Using the spacer block correctly minimizes the amount of hydraulic extension required to engage the landing gear, improving stability and reducing the risk of lateral movement during the lift. The spacer block is placed beneath the jack cylinder on a hard, level surface and must be properly positioned before connecting the pump hose or operating the jack.

Asked May 4, 2026
Question:
How do you raise aircraft landing gear using the Tronair 02-7852C0100?
Answer:

To raise the landing gear with the 02-7852C0100, place the hydraulic jack on a hard, level surface and use the included spacer block to position the ram as close as possible to the aircraft jack pad. Chock the aircraft tires with the gear not raised, then connect the pump hose and open the reservoir vent screw – opening the vent screw before operating is mandatory and must never be skipped. With the jack correctly positioned and the vent open, close the pump release valve and operate the Hi/Low hand pump to hydraulically raise the aircraft to the desired maintenance height. Hands must never be placed between the aircraft and the jack pad at any point during the operation.

Asked May 4, 2026
Question:
How do you safely lower an aircraft using the 02-7852C0100?
Answer:

To lower an aircraft with the 02-7852C0100, slowly and slightly open the pump release valve to allow the jack to descend in a controlled manner. The release valve should be opened gradually – opening it too quickly risks an uncontrolled descent that could damage the aircraft, the jack, or injure nearby personnel. Before beginning the lowering procedure, ensure all maintenance work is complete, that personnel and equipment are clear of the aircraft's path, and that the aircraft is ready to transfer its weight back to the landing gear.

Asked May 4, 2026
Question:
What routine maintenance does the Tronair 02-7852C0100 require?
Answer:

Routine maintenance of the 02-7852C0100 includes verifying hydraulic fluid levels before each use, checking all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness, and replacing all O-rings and backup rings whenever the jack is disassembled for service. Whenever O-rings or backup rings are removed, tools must not contact the critical sealing surfaces of parts – surface deformities can cause seal degradation and fluid leakage. Hydraulic fluid should be flushed and replaced with fresh, clean MIL-PRF-5606 fluid during maintenance events, and cap screws must be torqued to 50 ft-lb using the standard cross-torque procedure during reassembly. No modifications may be performed without prior written approval from Tronair.
