We recently received the Tronair 10-6409-0000 lav cart a couple of weeks ago, and it’s been performing very well so far. The build quality is solid, and all the fittings and hoses feel durable and well-made. The layout is practical, making servicing aircraft lavatories quick and clean. It tows easily, and the gauges and valves are intuitive to operate. Overall, I’m very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable ground support lavatory service unit.

This lav cart has been a great addition. It replaced an older unit that would not easily fit under certain aircraft. This lav car is very maneuverable, low profile, and has a robust towing system. It is also simple to operate and doesn't take up much space for storage. I would highly recommend this lav cart for GA use.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:
Does the dump coupler on this unit fit all aircraft?
Answer:

The dump hose on this lavatory service cart is equipped with a standard 4" straight dump connector, which is compatible with most aircraft lavatory systems. However, certain aircraft – most notably the Learjet 45 and Learjet 60 – require special dump couplers. If you service these models, please let us know so we can supply the correct fittings. Using the proper coupler ensures a secure connection and helps prevent leaks during servicing.

Asked September 6, 2023
Question:
Does this unit include all the necessary hoses and couplers?
Answer:

Yes, the Tronair 10-6409-0000 lavatory service cart is shipped fully assembled and ready for use. All required fill and dump hoses, connectors, and couplers are included from the factory. Once received, the only setup required is adding blue lavatory fluid to the fresh fill tank. This allows technicians to place the unit into service immediately.

Asked September 6, 2023
Question:
Is blue lav fluid included with this lavatory service cart?
Answer:

No, blue lavatory fluid is not included with the unit. The fill tank must be charged with approved blue lav fluid before use. PJi offers compatible lavatory fluids that can be ordered simultaneously with the cart. Using the correct fluid helps maintain sanitation and prevent system contamination.

Asked September 6, 2023
Question:
Does this lav cart include an electric fill pump?
Answer:

No, this aircraft lavatory service unit uses a manually operated fill pump. The hand pump delivers approximately one gallon of blue fluid for every four pump strokes. This design provides reliable operation without requiring electrical power, making the unit well-suited for use in hangars and on ramps.

Asked September 6, 2023
Question:
How large are the fill and dump tanks on this unit?
Answer:

The fresh fill system uses a 25-gallon HD polyethylene tank, while the dump system features a 30-gallon waste tank. Both tanks are constructed from non-corroding material with a UV inhibitor to support long-term durability. The larger dump tank capacity allows technicians to service multiple aircraft before emptying the unit at an approved disposal station. Tank capacities are detailed in the manufacturer’s technical specifications.

Asked September 6, 2023
Question:
Is this lavatory service cart suitable for regular towing across the airport?
Answer:

This unit is designed primarily for hangar use and short-distance ramp movement. While it includes pneumatic tires and a towbar for maneuverability, Tronair does not recommend frequent long-distance towing, such as repeated trips across the airfield. For operations that require regular cross-field towing, we recommend the Tronair 10-4036-0010 Lavatory Service Cart.

Asked September 6, 2023
Question:
What safety features help prevent spills during servicing?
Answer:

The lavatory service cart features a drain-back system on the dump hose, which helps prevent fluid spillage after servicing is complete. The dump hose is permanently connected to the waste tank, reducing the risk of improper attachment. Secure hose clamps, dedicated drain and bleed valves, and controlled manual pumping all contribute to safer operation during aircraft lavatory servicing.

Asked December 15, 2025
Question:
What routine maintenance is required for this lav service cart?
Answer:

Routine maintenance includes rinsing the dump hose and waste tank with fresh water after each use, as well as washing the tanks and hoses regularly with a mild detergent. Wheel bearings and caster swivel bearings should be lubricated at least every six months. Technicians should also periodically check hose connections for leaks and verify tire pressure does not exceed 50 PSI. Following these steps helps extend service life and maintain sanitary operation.

Asked December 15, 2025
Question:
How is the Tronair 10-6409-0000 lavatory service cart shipped?
Answer:

This lavatory service unit is shipped fully assembled in an open-air crate via LTL freight. A forklift or suitable unloading equipment is required at delivery unless a lift gate is requested in advance. If a lift gate is needed, it should be specified at the time of ordering so it can be included on the shipping paperwork. Proper unloading helps prevent damage during delivery.

Asked December 15, 2025
Question:
Are replacement parts available for this unit?
Answer:

Yes! PJi offers a wide variety of replacement parts for Tronair GSE, including the 10-6409-0000 lavatory service cart. Using genuine OEM replacement parts helps maintain optimal performance and preserves warranty coverage. Please provide the model number and serial number of your unit at the time of ordering to ensure parts compatibility.

Asked December 15, 2025
Question:
What warranty is offered on the Tronair 10-6409-0000 lav service cart?
Answer:

This aircraft lavatory service cart comes with a standard one-year factory warranty that covers manufacturing and material defects. The warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective components at Tronair’s discretion. Normal wear and tear items, as well as unauthorized modifications, are excluded from coverage.
