The AVX-10K is a comprehensive flight line test solution providing today’s avionics technicians with an easy-to-use instrument for various maintenance needs. From a quick airborne system auto-test to an in-depth troubleshooting tool, testing can conveniently be done around the aircraft or in the cockpit from the touchscreen display or using your mobile device. Easy set-up, quick testing, and reporting transferable via USB, Ethernet, and wireless all done from a modern user interface or the VIAVI Solutions Mobile Tech App.
Building on nearly 50 years of providing superior avionics test sets, the AVX-10K is a compact, durable tester capable of providing a wide range of quick airborne system auto-tests and in-depth troubleshooting using software-specific applications.
The AVX-10K is approved for use on Boeing aircraft and is a direct replacement for the original VIAVI IFR4000 and IFR6000 testing units.

Yes! Although these units come with a standard one-year manufacturer warranty, there are options available for purchase to extend this warranty. These options range from three to five years with various benefits and coverages.
TIS- Traffic Information Service. This allows pilots to see aircraft that are NOT emitting ADS-B data but have a basic transponder. So… as an aircraft is discovered by primary radar and responds with encoded altitude information, this info is broadcast over ADS-B.
The TIS function is part of the TCAS function on the AVX-10K and is considered Target Generation.
TCAS is an optional function on all versions of the AVX-10K. (AVX-10k- STCAS).
No, additional hardware would not be needed to use with the AVX-10K-CNS if the ELT option is purchased, as the antenna that comes with the CNS version for the NAV functions will work for the ELT function as well.
