QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
The Tronair 07-3000-1921 is built to safely remove fuel from an aircraft and transfer it to an approved storage container or ground tank. This process is essential during maintenance, inspection, or repair when tanks need to be drained. The cart provides a controlled system for defueling, reducing the risk of spills, contamination, or safety hazards.
Unlike carts with a totalizer, the 07-3000-1921 does not measure the total volume of fuel transferred during an operation. Instead, it focuses strictly on reliable pumping and transfer. This makes it a straightforward, cost-effective option for operators who don’t require onboard fuel metering.
The defueler cart is equipped with a self-priming pump designed for efficient and consistent fuel transfer. The pump is engineered to handle aviation fuels safely while minimizing the potential for vapor lock or cavitation, ensuring smooth operation across a wide range of defueling tasks.
Yes, the Tronair 07-3000-1921 can be used with common aviation fuels such as Jet A and 100LL Avgas. Its hoses, seals, and fittings are specifically built from materials resistant to fuel corrosion and degradation. Always confirm compatibility with the specific fuel type being serviced before use.
This unit is built on a wheeled frame that allows technicians to maneuver it easily around the hangar or ramp. Its compact footprint means it can be positioned close to the aircraft, reducing hose lengths and simplifying the defueling process. The rugged design is optimized for repeated movement in demanding maintenance environments.
The cart is designed with grounding and bonding provisions to prevent static discharge during fuel transfer. Emergency shutoff valves provide an added layer of protection if flow needs to be stopped immediately. Operators are also instructed to follow proper PPE and handling procedures to ensure safe operation.
Routine maintenance includes inspecting hoses, clamps, and fittings for signs of wear or leaks before and after each use. The pump and filters should also be checked regularly to ensure they remain free from blockages or fuel residue. Keeping the cart clean and following the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals extends its life and reliability.
Yes, the Tronair 07-3000-1921 can be operated outdoors, but it should always be used on a stable surface and in compliance with safety guidelines. Weather conditions such as rain or extreme cold can affect handling and visibility, so additional precautions may be necessary. The unit should be stored indoors when not in use to protect hoses and components from premature wear.
Operators should be trained in aircraft fueling and defueling procedures, including safe handling of flammable liquids. While the cart itself is straightforward to use, personnel must follow established SOPs to avoid accidents or fuel contamination. Many MROs and operators incorporate this training into standard ground support equipment safety programs.
The cart includes filtration elements designed to remove particulates during fuel transfer. By ensuring that only clean fuel is moved into storage containers, the system helps protect both engines and fueling infrastructure from contamination. Regular filter maintenance is critical to maintaining this protective function.
You’ll most often find the Tronair 07-3000-1921 in aircraft maintenance facilities, FBOs, and airline service centers. It’s particularly valuable when fuel must be drained for tank repairs, inspections, or long-term aircraft storage. Because of its portability, it’s also used on the ramp for quick defueling operations.
Yes! PJi provides OEM spare parts, replacement hoses, and filter elements for the 07-3000-1921 defueler cart, ensuring minimal downtime when service is needed. Using OEM-approved replacements helps maintain safety standards and prolongs the life of the equipment.
