The Tronair 20-4505-7000 is a 4-bottle oxygen service cart with a manifold and regulator, allowing the operator to manifold together up to four oxygen supply bottles and regulate the outlet pressure. Reverse-flow check valves prevent backflow from one supply bottle to another supply bottle.
The oxygen booster provides the capability to boost the remaining lower-pressure oxygen from supply bottles to the higher pressure required for aircraft systems, up to 2,250 psig maximum.
This oxygen booster utilizes an air-driven pressure amplifier, requiring 145 psig maximum air pressure at 70 SCFM volume.
The cart may be used to supply oxygen either to internal aircraft systems or to portable aircraft oxygen bottles.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
The Tronair 20-4505-7000 oxygen service cart is designed to safely store, transport, and dispense oxygen for aircraft maintenance and support. It allows technicians to fill onboard oxygen systems or other oxygen delivery equipment using high-pressure cylinders. With a built-in booster, regulator, and manifold system, it delivers consistent, controlled oxygen flow for servicing applications in hangars or on the ramp.
This oxygen service cart is built to hold up to four standard oxygen cylinders. The rugged steel cradle secures the cylinders in place during transport and operation. Proper securing of the bottles ensures safety and stability when the unit is in motion or actively dispensing oxygen.
The cart includes a pneumatically driven oxygen booster pump, which increases pressure output beyond the standard bottle pressure. This booster allows technicians to fill aircraft systems to higher pressure levels even when the supply bottles are low, improving oxygen utilization and reducing waste. It is driven by shop air or an external compressed air source.
Yes, the unit comes equipped with a high-pressure regulator, which provides precise control over oxygen delivery pressure. This ensures safe filling procedures and prevents over-pressurization of aircraft systems. Pressure gauges are also included to monitor both supply and delivery pressure in real time.
The integrated manifold system allows oxygen to be drawn from multiple cylinders simultaneously or selectively, depending on your operation setup. This increases refill efficiency and balances pressure across cylinders. It’s also helpful for maximizing gas usage before cylinders need to be replaced or recharged.
Yes, the cart can be used to refill both aircraft onboard systems and portable oxygen bottles, as long as proper fill adapters and pressure limits are observed. This flexibility makes it suitable for operators who need to maintain multiple types of oxygen systems across different aircraft or crew needs.
The cart is designed for use with aviation-grade oxygen, typically 99.5% pure, such as MIL-PRF-27210 Type I oxygen. Only use certified, non-contaminated oxygen from reputable sources. Using non-aviation oxygen can risk contamination or safety hazards in aircraft life-support systems.
Yes, the unit is equipped with a towbar and pneumatic tires, making it easy to move around the ramp or hangar with a tug or vehicle. The durable wheels are built to handle uneven surfaces, ensuring smooth transport even in outdoor or airfield environments.
Key safety features include pressure relief valves, oxygen-compatible components, non-sparking materials, and secure bottle straps. The cart is designed to meet or exceed aviation oxygen handling standards and includes color-coded labels and safety placards to help operators follow correct procedures. Additionally, the booster system is pneumatically powered to eliminate ignition risks from electrical components.
Regular inspection of seals, connections, and airline integrity is essential. The booster pump should be lubricated and maintained per the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure long-term reliability and performance. Periodic calibration of gauges and leak checks on the manifold are also recommended.
The cart is equipped with dual high-visibility pressure gauges – one to monitor cylinder pressure and another to indicate delivery pressure. These gauges provide real-time feedback, allowing precise control during filling operations. The gauges are oxygen-rated to prevent contamination or false readings.
Yes, the 20-4505-7000 is used in both commercial and defense aviation environments. Its robust construction, booster integration, and manifold flexibility make it ideal for diverse fleet needs. It supports servicing for fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and specialized aerospace systems.
The maximum towing speed for this 4-bottle oxygen cart is 10 mph (16.1 km/h). This information will be labeled on the front of the cart, where it can be seen easily during operation.
