Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Eagle Tugs different from other aircraft tug manufacturers?
Eagle Tugs stands out for its commitment to low-maintenance designs, operator safety, and superior towing performance. Every Eagle tug is purpose-built for aviation applications, delivering rugged reliability across harsh ramp conditions. Unlike repurposed industrial tugs or baggage tractors, Eagle designs its equipment specifically for aircraft towing, with optimal visibility, heavy-duty drivetrains, and precision control. The company also offers an industry-leading 3-year/3,000-hour warranty on many models, reflecting confidence in its quality. These features make Eagle a trusted brand for MROs, FBOs, airlines, and military operations worldwide.
How does Eagle support ramp safety?
Eagle prioritizes ramp safety through low-profile chassis designs, enhanced operator visibility, and responsive braking systems. Towbarless tugs reduce the risk of misalignment and nose gear damage. Electric models provide quieter operation, reducing noise pollution and improving communication between team members. Optional features like LED work lights, camera systems, and ergonomic cabins further enhance situational awareness on busy ramps.
Are Eagle Tugs easy to maintain?
Yes! Eagle Tugs are engineered with low-maintenance drive trains, sealed components, and simplified service access. The robust build quality minimizes unexpected downtime, while the modular parts design simplifies repairs and replacements. Maintenance intervals are designed to be intuitive and aligned with real-world ramp conditions, making them ideal for busy operations with limited downtime tolerance.
What is the warranty on Eagle Tugs products?
All new TT series, eTT series, XL series, eXL series, and USATS tow tractors used in aviation applications are covered by Eagle Tugs’ 3-Year Warranty.
Eagle Tugs warrants that these tow tractors will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of three years or 3,000 operating hours (with the exception of the electrical system) from the date of delivery to the first customer (or first use), whichever comes first.
Electrical components – including, but not limited to, displays, starters, alternators, and electric fans – shall be covered under the respective original manufacturer’s warranty for each individual component. Copies of the respective warranties are available upon request.
This warranty does not extend to the tires, batteries, and battery chargers, as these are warranted directly to the user by their respective manufacturer and not by Eagle or an Authorized Service Representative.
All MTT series, RTT series, and Transit Pro tow tractors, as well as all Eagle models used in industrial applications, are covered under the Eagle Standard Warranty of one year or 2,000 hours.
Eagle Bobtail tractors are covered under Ford Motor Company’s Standard Warranty for each respective Ford truck model.
